Reporter Brent Read has declared there is unrest at the Dragons as Shane Flanagan’s side’s form slump continues.
The Dragons are now in 15th spot on the ladder and have lost their last three games, most recently a 40-24 defeat to Manly in Round 26.
The joint venture have won just eight of their 23 games this season.
“I can’t imagine it’s a happy camp,” Read said on NRL 360 on Monday night.

“They’ve sort of tailed off as the season’s come to an end.
“Things aren’t going great at the moment.
“I haven’t really spoken to anyone there but my feeling is that it’s not great and they’re looking forward to next year.”
Veteran journalist Phil Rothfield pressed Read further on his comments.
“But that’s a feel and that’s a pretty serious line that the players are off the coach,” Rothfield added.
“When you say there’s a bad feeling inside the four walls of the club.”
Read clarified his comments.
“I said things aren’t going great. That’s my sense. They’ve lost some games,” he said.
Before Rothfield interjected again.
“The scoreboard shows that, doesn’t it,” Rothfield said.
Host Braith Anasta also asked Read for more information.
“Have you heard anything here? Because I feel there’s some tension in the air,” Anasta said.
“I’ve heard that some players are unhappy obviously,” Read responded.
“That’s why players are leaving, because they’re not happy with how things are going.”
Anasta chimed in again.
“It feels like you are insinuating that,” Anasta said.
“Yeah, well, I think we’ve all heard it haven’t we,” Read replied.
The Dragons have only recruited two players for 2026 – the Sharks’ Daniel Atkinson and the Dolphins’ Josh Kerr.

“It’s a huge off-season for Flanno,” Read added.
