Ben Hunt will become just the sixth ever player – and the second this weekend – to reach 350 NRL games when he runs out for the Broncos against the Knights in Newcastle.
A day after Hunt’s former Origin teammate Daly Cherry-Evans raised the bat for 350 NRL appearances, the Broncos half will do the same.

“I’m extremely proud. It definitely hasn’t been a smooth ride,” Hunt told Code Sports.
“There’s been some challenging periods.
“It’s pretty crazy when you look at the list of players that have done it, being alongside champions of the game like Cam Smith, Darren Lockyer and Cooper Cronk.”
Hunt mentioned those “challenging periods”, which included dropping the ball from the kick off in golden point in the 2015 grand final and being axed from the Maroons in 2018 after losing the first two games of the series.
The 35-year-old said that internet trolls had got to him after some of his low footballing moments, admitting he sought out professional help.
“I saw someone (a psychologist) on and off there for a while,” an honest Hunt said.
“I can’t remember the exact length of time, but there were times when I thought I was coming out the other side, then someone would say something and I would find myself doubting myself again.”
“I’s not easy to block out.”
The Knights are desperate to win one – something they haven’t done since June 21 – as they try to avoid the wooden spoon.
Meanwhile, the Broncos will jump up to 5th on the ladder with a win and keep their top four hopes alive. A victory would also guarantee Brisbane finish inside the top eight.
No real team changes of note other than Newcastle welcoming back hooker Phoenix Crossland. That move pushes Matt Arthur out of the side and drops Jayden Brailey to the bench.
